I want to register for the conference. Do I need an account?

To register for the ONTARIO Agricultural CONFERENCE, select any one of the attendance option tabs. From the drop down menu select the Register option.

You can register multiple people at one time by creating a billing record dedicated to one person. Multiple people can be registered from that account. After the account is created, start adding people. Each person must have their own email address this gives them access to the VIRTUAL event and the ON DEMAND sessions. They will also be notified about the TEC Talk Tuesday sessions.

Companies that want to register a group.

For companies who have a large group to register please email info@ontarioagconference.ca, to request the group registration form. Remember that each person will require their own email address.

I have already registered but I want to make changes?

If you need to make changes to your registration, please call 1-866-222-9682 or send a detailed email to the Conference Registrar at info@ontarioagconference.ca

There will be no refunds provided.

What are the payment methods?

If you are registering online, we accept Visa or Master Card.

If you are mailing in your registration you may send a cheque payable to Southwest Ag Conference. Mail the payment to Southwest Ag Conference, 120 Main Street East, Ridgetown, ON N0P 2C0 Atten: Mary Marg McDonald.

Payments made by cheque must be received by December 31, 2023.

If you wish to pay by credit card and are having problems processing your credit card such as issues with Pop-Up Blockers, please call 1-866-222-9682 we can help to process the card. You will need to provide the card information over the phone. Please do not email your card information.

How do I confirm that I’m successfully registered?

Once your registration is finalized, you will receive confirmation by email. Your email will be your receipt and will show the amount paid and names of individuals you registered.

If you do not get this email within a few minutes of completing your registration, please check your junk mail. If you still have not received it, please contact the Conference registrar at info@ontarioagconference.ca or call 1-866-222-9682.

What is included with my registration to the ONTARIO Agricultural CONFERENCE (OAgC)? 

There are 4 registration options. If you registered for:

VIRTUAL KICKOFF - January 3rd, 2024 your registration fee gives you access to:

  • Access to the VIRTUAL KICK OFF STAGE on January 3rd, 2024
  • Access to 16 ON DEMAND sessions on January 3rd, 2024
  • Additional ON DEMAND sessions will be added following each IN-PERSON event.
  • All 50 plus sessions will be available until March 31st, 2024
  • You will also be invited to TEC Talk Tuesdays starting January 9th to February 27th, 2024

Southwest Agricultural Conference (SWAC) on January 4th & 5th, 2024, your registration gives you access to:

  • Attendance at live sessions at Ridgetown location
  • Meals and refreshments provided throughout the day
  • Access to the VIRTUAL KICK OFF STAGE on January 3rd, 2024 (registration must be completed by Jan 2nd, 2024)
  • Access to the ON DEMAND sessions until March 31st, 2024 
  • Access to the TEC Talk Tuesdays starting January 9th to February 27th, 2024

Eastern Ontario Crop Conference (EOCC), January 16th, 2024, your registration gives you access to:

  • Attendance at live sessions at the Kemptville location
  • Meals and refreshments provided throughout the day
  • Access to the VIRTUAL KICK OFF STAGE on January 3rd, 2024 (registration must be completed by Jan 2nd, 2024)
  • Access to the ON DEMAND sessions until March 31st, 2024
  • Access to the TEC Talk Tuesdays starting January 9th to February 27th, 2024

Midwest Ag Conference (MWAC), January 19th, 2024, your registration gives you access to:

  • Attendance at live sessions at the Waterloo location
  • Meals and refreshments provided throughout the day
  • Access to the VIRTUAL KICK OFF STAGE on January 3rd, 2024 (registration must be completed by Jan 2nd, 2024)
  • Access to the ON DEMAND sessions until March 31st, 2024
  • Access to the TEC Talk Tuesdays starting January 9th to February 27th, 2024

Please Note: most sessions at the three IN-PERSON events will be recorded on their specified conference days. The recordings will be posted to the ON DEMAND listing following each of the live events. They will not be streamed live virtually on the live event dates.

Access to view the ON DEMAND sessions will remain open until March 31, 2024. 

Registrations completed online & received by December 21st, 2023 will be included in the registration draw.

How do I access the Virtual OAgC?

On January 2nd, 2024 an email will be sent to registrants who provided a unique email address with their registration providing instructions on how to access the virtual conference platform on January 3rd, 2024. These instructions can be used to access the web portal until March 31st, 2024.

Using the link provided in the email you can enter the Conference Lobby page by using the email address you provided with your registration. To enter the VIRTUAL KICKOFF Stage, select Program this gives you access to the Live Stage and On Demand sessions, the Exhibition Hall or the Resources Page.

Can I sign up for the conference after the deadline?

Registration for the ON DEMAND sessions will be available throughout January to February 28th, 2024.

If you want to attend the VIRTUAL KICKOFF Event, you must be registered by January 3rd, 2024. We highly recommend that you register well in advance to avoid the delay in receiving your VIRTURAL KICKOFF Live Stage log in.

Any registrations received after January 3rd, can view all ON DEMAND sessions until March 31, 2024.

IN-PERSON registration for SWAC will close on December 11th, 2023.

IN-PERSON registration for EOCC or MWAC will close on January 8th, 2024

What is the cancellation policy for the conference, I can no longer attend? Is my registration transferable?

All Registrations are Non-Refundable.

VIRTUAL KICKOFF registrants will have access to any ON DEMAND sessions until March 31, 2024. No Refunds will be provided.

IN-PERSON events - Individuals who registered for one of the IN-PERSON events and are no longer able to take part can transfer their registration to another individual for the 2024 conference only. Please email details to the conference registrar info@ontarioagconference.ca or call 1-866-222-9682. If your registration is transferred to another individual you will no longer be provided access to the VIRTUAL KICKOFF event on January 3rd, 2024 or have access to any of the ON DEMAND sessions.

I want to collect CEU Credits?

Individuals viewing sessions during the VIRTUAL KICKOFF or any of the ON DEMAND sessions who require CEU credits will be able to apply for CCA credits based on the sessions you viewed. The 2024 conference has no restriction on the number of credits allowed. A code unique to each session will be provided randomly through out each of the presentations. These codes will be required to apply for each session you wish to collect CEU credits for. If you have any questions please contact the Conference registrar at info@ontarioagconference.ca

Individuals attending the IN-PERSON events will have the option to apply for their CCA credits at the event by signing the paper sign in sheet or scanning the QR code provided during each session. 

How can my organization become a conference sponsor?

Sponsorship opportunities are limited, so act today. Sponsorships are processed September thru December for the conference in January. To become a sponsor and for more information, please contact lelgie@uoguelph.ca

Is the conference schedule available?

Details are currently posted on the Ontario Agricultural Conference website under each of the four events on their agenda tab at www.ontarioagconference.ca

Will there be any handouts?

Visit the Resource area to view the virtual SWAG Bag the conference workbook and brochure. If you attend the IN-PERSON events, visit the Trade Show for any hand outs our sponsors might be offering.

I’m a presenter – is there a PowerPoint template I should be using?

To ensure your presentation goes smoothly, please adhere to the following guidelines when preparing your presentation: 

  • Only Microsoft PowerPoint (*.ppt or *.pptx) presentations will be accepted 
  • 16:9 widescreen format (not standard) for better resolution 
  • Clear and standard Microsoft font such as Arial 
  • Use simple pictures or graphics rather than text to explain complicated concepts or important data 
  • Font size at least 24 points with headings at least 36 points 
  • Avoid using all capitals 
  • When using bullets, aim for slides using the 6X6 rule: 6 bullets or less per slide, 6 words or less per bullet 

Ensure all media (audio, video) is embedded in the presentation file (for additional help with this, please work with your Galbraith Communications representative)

How will the Chat box feature be monitored during my live session

For those speakers involved in the VIRTUAL KICKOFF on January 3rd, 2024 participants will be given the opportunity to ask questions via a chat box.  Conference staff will be on hand to monitor the chat box and field any questions to the moderator or lead speaker for each LIVE session. 

How will the Chat box feature be monitored during my recorded session

ON DEMAND (recorded) sessions will be available online for 3 months following the conference. Viewers will be able to ask questions via a question box. These questions will be forwarded to you along with the contact info of the participant so that you can respond. 

I am an overseas participant and need a letter of invitation before I can receive my visa. What is the procedure?

Registrations originating from outside of North America are final. The ONTARIO Agricultural CONFERENCE has live streamed sessions on January 3rd, 2024 as well as a selection of ON DEMAND sessions. Any sessions recorded at the IN-PERSON events will be posted to the ON DEMAND sessions which you will have access to there is no travel required to attend this conference and therefore we will not issue letters of invitation for the purposes of obtaining visas for international delegates.

Will Media be allowed a press pass as usual?

Yes, All press requesting access should contact us by emailing the Conference Registrar at info@ontarioagconference.ca.

Provide your name, Media affiliation, location you wish to attend. If you are attending SWAC please include your meal option. (Buffet or Boxed Lunch)

Is there a media policy?

Media may attend any session, but not pose questions to presenters. Instead, interviews with presenters can be arranged by contact us at

Will I need a zoom account to attend the VIRTUAL KICKOFF?

A zoom account is not required to attend the VIRTUAL KICKOFF or to access the ON DEMAND sessions. We urge you to download zoom to have a seamless experience while taking part on TEC Talk Tuesday sessions. 

What Web browser will optimize my experience of the Virtual Conference?

The virtual conference will work on all browsers for PC and MAC computers, and all smartphones and tablets. We recommend using Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox or Safari as your browser as these are the best for live streaming reception. If you use Internet Explorer 11, you must also have flash installed and working.

When should I Log in?

If you anticipate having technical difficulties, it may be worthwhile to attend to join 5-10 minutes ahead of time.

To do a test go to http://www1.webcastcanada.ca/test-video.php to test your computer video and audio settings before joining the conference.

However, joining us at the start of sessions is also fine.

I can’t get logged into the OAgC Web Portal?

If you cannot log in, make sure you type in the exact same email address you used when you registered. Check to see that you have not made a typo and be sure you are registered to attend. If you experience technical difficulties, please email support@webcastcanada.ca

Do I need a webcam to attend the VIRTUAL KICKOFF?

No, you do not need to have a webcam to attend the meeting.

What will I experience as an attendee?

During the Live Stage sessions attendees will be automatically muted and be able to submit questions via the question boxes with each session. Moderators will present questions to the speaker as time allows.

Am I allowed to come and go during the conference as I need to, or must I attend the entire day?

One benefit of the virtual platform is that it is much easier for you to manage your conference attendance and other duties seamlessly. Feel free to attend as you wish, entering and exiting the sessions as you wish.

If I cannot attend some of the sessions but have registered for the conference, will there be a recording I can watch later?

Sessions during the VIRTUAL KICKOFF will be recorded, posted and available to all registered attendees following the conference until March 31, 2024. 

Sessions recorded at the IN-PERSON events will be posted and available to all registered attendees following the IN-PERSON events until March 31, 2024.
